NYSERDA Multifamily Performance Program and Energy Star®
Steven Winter Associates (SWA), Inc. is an experienced energy consultant for NYSERDA’s Multifamily Performance Program, an Energy Star® Labeling Program for multifamily high-rise buildings in New York State, for new and existing construction projects.
Having participated in the earliest stages of program development during the nation’s first pilot for Energy Star labeled high-rise multifamily buildings (4 stories and above), SWA assisted Dunn Development’s 1212 MLK Apartments and Myrtle Ave Apartments achieve the first Energy Star labels for high-rise multifamily buildings in the country.
Not a high-rise building? Low-rise multifamily buildings (3 stories and less) can generally participate in the EPA’s Energy Star Qualified Homes program.
Not in New York? Development of a national Energy Star® labeling program for high-rise multifamily buildings is still in progress and SWA continues to work with the EPA on its development. Currently, the label is only being offered in New York, Wisconsin and Oregon.
