Low Carbon Multifamily Retrofit Playbooks
The Low Carbon Multifamily Retrofit Playbooks, developed in partnership with Steven Winter Associates (SWA) and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), summarize retrofit strategies that maximize occupant comfort and energy savings through a transition from fuel to electricity- based heating, cooling and hot water systems. They cover five common building typologies and are organized by building system – detailing common existing systems, typical issues, and recommended measures. The retrofit recommendations outlined in each report will help prepare buildings for increasingly stringent efficiency and carbon emissions targets.
