From Plans to Practice: Best Practices in Accessible Design & Construction for New York City
Course Description: This presentation will highlight common oversights architects can make when incorporating the accessibility requirements of the New York City Building Code and the federal Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHA) into plan development. It will also highlight typical errors made by contractors in the field during construction. Practical solutions for avoiding oversights to help architects conform to the accessible design and construction requirements of the New York City Building Code and the FHA will be offered.
