Cathal Gleeson is a Building Systems Director at SWA. His work focuses on the firm’s design and implementation services for comprehensive high-performance retrofits and capital upgrade projects. As part of these capital projects, Cathal provides design, bid specification, project management and construction administration services. His work at SWA also involves training building operators and contractors on operations and maintenance activities and system upgrades.

Cathal has led research projects to evaluate new building technologies as part of the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Advanced Buildings Program. His expertise in MEP systems provides an important feedback loop for SWA’s feasibility, energy auditing and retro-commissioning services. Cathal’s work at SWA has encompassed millions of square feet of multifamily and commercial buildings across the five boroughs.
