Accessible Design of Baltimore’s “Gold Coast”
Project Background:
Liberty Harbor East is the newest addition to Baltimore’s “gold coast,” adding 22 stories of retail and residential space to the city’s most rapidly developing neighborhood. A new Whole Foods Market flagship occupies the building’s ground floor, adding more than 30,000 square feet to the building’s footprint. Once the building is complete, 3,500 square feet of additional retail space will be added at the ground level, and 282 apartments, and 35 condominiums will occupy the upper floors.
Liberty Harbor East is a milestone contribution to the area’s continued evolution. Upon its anticipated completion in 2019, the project will have transformed a surface parking lot into a regional destination.
